中国银联是经国务院同意，人民银行批准，于2002年3月成立的银行卡清算机构，是国内支付结算重要的金融基础设施，也是我国第一家具有银行卡清算业务许可证的清算机构。中国银联广东分公司是银联重要的战略基点，广东地区银联卡发卡规模、交易规模等指标居全国前列。近年来，广东银联深入开展移动支付便民工程、移动支付示范镇建设工作，发挥银联在银行卡支付产业的枢纽作用，开展助商惠民活动，落实减费让利政策，支持实体经济发展，拉动市场消费。
