1988年广东财经大学与中国建设银行广东省分行合办投资经济专业，金融学科由此发端而来。30年来广东财经大学金融学院扎根南粤大地，坚持与广东发展同频共振，面向广东和粤港澳大湾区高质量发展中的重大金融需求，按照“以一流本科教学为立院之本、以一流科学研究为强院之基、以一流社会服务为兴院之源”的战略思路，积极探索以“国际化视野、本土化洞察、创新型思维、应用型技能”为核心的现代金融人才培养模式，加快构筑以“夯实基础、面向前沿、突出特色、占位发展”为指引的金融研究高地，着力打造以“信得过、用得上、接地气”为方向的新型金融改革与发展智库，为建设“华南领先、国内一流、国际知名的金融学院”而不断努力。金融学院现有教职工73人，其中专任教师57人，在校本科学生近2000人，在校研究生200余人。

Since the major of investment economics is established by Guangdong University of Finance and Economics and Guangdong Branch of China construction bank in 1988, financial discipline began forming and developing. Has been rooted in Southern Guangdong for 30 years, Guangdong University of Finance and Ecnomics, School of Finance insisting on keeping synchronous development with Guangdong Province. Keeping the strategic thinking of “ first-class undergraduate teaching is the foundation to build the school, first-class scientific research is the base to strengthen the school, first-class social service is the source to promote the school”, School of Finance meets the great financial needs of Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Great Bay Area high quality development, while actively explores the modern financial talent training mode with the core of "international vision,localization insight,creative thinking and practical skills" and accelerates the establishment of the financial research highland which is guided by “tamping foundation, facing forefront, highlighting characteristics, and occupying development ". We focus on creating a new type of financial reform with the direction of "trustworthy, useful and down-to-earth" and make constant efforts to build a South China leading,domestic first-class and international famous financial school. We currently has 73 faculty members, including 57 full-time teachers, nearly 2,000 undergraduate students and more than 200 graduate students.
