本会是在中国证监会广东监管局指导下，根据国务院《社会团体登记管理条例》和《广东省行业协会条例》设立的、由在广东省（不含深圳市）登记注册或展业的基金行业相关机构自愿结成的自律性组织。首批（创会）会员126家，包括易方达基金管理有限公司、广发基金管理有限公司、广东恒健投资控股有限公司、珠海高瓴股权投资管理有限公司、广州玄元投资管理有限公司等公募基金管理人、私募股权与私募证券基金管理人，以及银行、律师事务所、会计师事务所等基金行业其他相关机构。

Under the guidance of the Guangdong regulatory bureau of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the association is a voluntary legal organization established by the relevant institutions of the fund industry registered or developing in Guangdong Province (excluding Shenzhen City) in accordance with the regulations of the State Council on the administration of registration of social organizations and the regulations of Guangdong provincial industry associations. There were 126 first batch (founding) members, including public fund managers such as e-fund Management Co., Ltd., Guangfa Fund Management Co., Ltd., Guangdong HENGJIAN Investment Holding Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Hillhouse Equity Investment Management Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Xuanyuan Investment Management Co., Ltd., private equity and private securities fund managers, and other relevant institutions in the fund industry such as banks, law firms and accounting firms.
